The History of OBUSFORME In the late 70's, an industrial designer by the name of Frank Roberts injured his back. To relieve his discomfort he had a body cast made that provided him with some pain relief. When he could find no other substitute for the relief he felt with his own body cast, he cut it, covered it and stuffed it with foam. Shortly thereafter Frank Roberts patented his design, and the first OBUSFORME back brace was born. It wasn't long afterwards that Saul Feldberg of Global would take this new technology and incorporate it into an office chair, and the OBUSFORME line of seating was born. In 1989, Global launched the exclusive line of OBUSFORME seating, which would provide the ultimate in comfort and support. Recognised by the Canadian and Quebec Chiropractic Associations and health professionals around the world for its unique back support system, OBUSFORME is now the leader in ergonomic seating, selling more units than any other of its kind. Many years after the original OBUSFORME was launched, the market for this invention is increasing rapidly. Consumers are becoming more aware of the importance of back care. It's not only for the aged or people with bad backs. This knowledgeable consumer is purchasing the OBUSFORME as a reliable preventative measure. |
